Her family says she had room in her heart for everyone, that she had worked at a homeless shelter in Calgary. Thirty year old Christine Archibald is the Canadian killed in the weekend attacks in London, England. She died in her fiance’s arms after being struck by a van that was driven into a crowd of people on London Bridge. She was one of seven people killed, dozens wounded in the crash and subsequent knife attacks at a nearby market. Three assailants were shot and killed by police, 12 others have been arrested in the case.
Prime Minister Trudeau has confirmed a Canadian is among the 7 killed in Saturday’s attack in London. “Canada strongly condemns the senseless attack that took place last night in London, United Kingdom, which killed and injured many innocent people. I am heartbroken that a Canadian is among those killed.” London Police say a white van slammed into pedestrians on London Bridge around 10pm. Three men armed with knives then fled the van and started attacking people at bars and restaurants at a nearby market. The attackers were shot and killed by police within eight minutes.
