Bradford Man Runs Into Officer On The Street

Suspect Claims He Was Out For A Jog

Here’s a guy who had a run in with the law… quite literally. A South Simcoe police officer was stopped at the intersection of Melbourne Dr. and Holland St. in Bradford around lunchtime yesterday, when he spied a man running towards him. The officer says the guy ran right onto the road and into the side of the cruiser! The guy told police he was out for a job, but his demeanor seemed off to the officer. Some deeper digging lead police to discover staff from the nearby Canadian tire were chasing the guy. He allegedly tripped the alarm while trying to steal a saw. The 52-year-old Bradford man was charged with Theft.
