Bradford has given the thumbs up to the 2017 budget, and it comes with a 1.98% blended tax increase. That boils down to about an $81 a year increase for the average Bradford home, valued at $370,220. This includes the municipal property tax of 0.6% council was aiming for, increases in the budgets for South Simcoe Police, local school boards, along with the County of Simcoe’s take. Water and wastewater services from the town will cost an extra 2.32%. Your tax dollars will go towards a new street sweeper, enhanced library hours (including Sunday service), and some new hires at the town and the fire hall.
