Blue Jays Roll into Post Season

Earn one-game playoff with Baltimore Tuesday!

The Toronto Blue Jays ended their regular  yesterday afternoon in a champagne-soaked celebration in their dressing room after securing home advantage and a wild card playoff game that will be played Tuesday at Rogers Centre.

It may have played out entirely different over the weekend as the Jays had to face the top team in the American League east and beat them at least twice to make it happen.  Saturday, the Jays blew a lead late in the game only to come back to get the win in the next inning.  Sunday, it looked like Boston was going to rally in the bottom of the ninth inning with the Jays clinging to a one run lead, , but with two men on base, the Jays finally shut them down and let the celebration begin.

While the regular season came to an end last night, the Blue Jays won’t have long though before they have to get right back into action.  Their one game playoff with the Baltimore Orioles will be played Tuesday night with the winner advancing to play the Texas Rangers in the first round of the division series opener.

With a win, the celebration for Toronto baseball fans will continue.  With a loss, it’ll be a long wait until the beginning of next season.
