Big Financial Boost For Advanced Cardiac Care At RVH

Huge announcement this morning at RVH in Barrie. Health Minister Eric Hoskins was on hand with a $9.1M capital funding pledge to allow construction to begin this fall on the new Advanced Cardiac Centre. When completed, it will give patients faster access to treatment and will mean shorter hospital stays. It will also mean less travel time, especially for heart attack patients in North Simcoe who currently have more than a 90-minute journey to Newmarket to get top-tier cardiac care.
