Bell has had its knuckles rapped and its pocket picked by the Competition Bureau. It’s been fined $1.25M for planting some glowing online reviews about its phone apps; having employees – some of them senior staff – pen the high fives. Bell was outed by UnMarketing, a company that writes about unethical marketing tactics. It became suspicious after some of the language used in the reviews.
