Nearly 4000 apply to be next Canadian astronauts

Nearly four-thousand Canadians want to be an astronaut. The Canadian Space Agency’s fourth recruitment campaign brought in 3772 applications. Sixty-nine per cent were from males, 24 per cent from females – seven per cent did not say. Just two will be chosen. The selection process is expected to take a year.
