Barrie Woman Blindsided By Distraction Theft

Wallet Pinched In Walmart Parking Lot

Barrie Police are looking for two suspects after a distraction theft in the parking lot of the south-end Walmart. Police say a man picked off a woman’s PIN number as she was paying at the checkout. As she was driving away, he flagged her down telling her there was a piece of metal in her tire. When she got out to look, an accomplice grabbed her purse from the passenger seat. Within ten minutes they were siphoning money from her bank account using her debit card. Suspect One is described as:

  • male, possibly of Mexican descent
  • 5’5″
  • thick Spanish accent
  • wearing green hat, blue shoes, beige pants and grey sweatshirt
