Barrie-Springwater-Oro Medonte Candidate Asking For Recount
Less than 110 votes separated Conservative winner from Liberal runner up
Brian Tamblyn is looking for a recount. The Liberal candidate initially lost out to the Conservative party’s Alex Nuttall in the Barrie – Springwater – Oro Medonte riding by 108 votes on Election Night, and that’s too close for comfort for Tamblyn. With over 50,000 votes cast, and nearly 190 ballots rejected for one reason or another, Tamblyn wants to make sure, so he will be filing legal paperwork today. Nuttall, meanwhile, is in Ottawa for MP Orientation Day.
