BARRIE PRIDE TO HOLD VIGIL IN REACTION TO ORLANDO MASS SHOOTING

In the wake of the terrible news out of Orlando, Florida, where patrons of an LGBT night club were gunned down in a terrorist act and hate crime, Barrie Pride is holding a vigil to honour and remember the victims.
“Just a day after our celebration in Barrie, we are horrified by the shootings Orlando,” said Barrie Pride Chair David Bradbury. “We come together to share our grief and to unite in solidarity with victims of anti-LGBT hate everywhere it exists.”
Mayor Jeff Lehman and MPP Ann Hoggarth will speak. Representatives from Barrie Pride, Simcoe Pride, Georigian Pride, the Gilbert Centre, the Barrie Police Service will also be on hand to say a few words.
