Barrie Man Charged With Some Unneighbourly Acts

Party Host Allegedly Didn't Take Kindly To Party Ending Early

A Barrie man seemed to fight for his right to party… and lost. Barrie Police say they got a number of calls to a house party on Nelson St. back on March 5th. Police responded to reports of noise, intoxicated youth, and the smell of marijuana coming from the house. The 27-year-old man allegedly throwing the party was hit with a few fines over the city’s noise by-law and over complaints he gave booze to a minor. Following the incident, police say the man confronted neighbours allegedly threatening them, their family, and their house. On top of the earlier charges, the suspect now faces Uttering Threats, Assault With A Weapon, and Probation Violation charges.
