Barrie Food Bank Sets Goal For Spring Food Drive

They Need 70,000lbs of Food By End of March To Keep Shelves Stocked

A harsh winter has taken its toll on the local food bank. The Barrie Food Bank today announced they’ve launched their Spring food drive, with a goal to raise 70,000lbs of food by the end of March. Executive Director Peter Sundborg says a challenging winter for many means their shelves are bare. Over 2,600 people make use of the Barrie Food Bank each month, while last year, nearly 6,000 kids under age 18 were served at the Food Bank.
