Barrie Council Doesn’t Keep Integrity Commissioner Busy

Ten Ethics Complaints Filed Since January 1st, 2015

Looks like Barrie’s councillors are sticking to the rules. The city’s integrity commissioner handed in her annual report Monday night, showing for the 2015 calendar year, her office received a mere eight formal and informal complaints about city council. From January 1st to June 30th of this year, Integrity Commissioner Suzanne Craig reports receiving only two complaints against city council. Craig pointed out how pleased she was too, that every member of council has taken full advantage of her office prior to taking any action they thought may violate the city’s Code of Conduct.
