Barrie City Hall Getting Tough On Mobile Billboards

City Hall is putting its foot down over illegal billboards along the 400. Barrie councillors have gotten more than enough complaints about trailers being used as billboards, lining the 400 into Barrie, and after repeated requests to the Ministry of Transportation these trailers be removed, the city is getting angry. At Monday’s council meeting, everyone at the table voted a strongly worded letter be sent to the MTO, demanding the Ministry immediately enforce its regulations against these illegal trailer signs. The letter goes on to ask the Ministry get back to the City with a timetable on when enforcement will begin.
