Barrie Boy Blamed For Bogus Bill

Nobody’s laughing after someone tried to pass some funny money around downtown Barrie. Police got the call from a downtown establishment after they say someone used a counterfeit $50 bill to buy a three dollar item, around 2:00 Sunday morning. Investigators say they were able to track down the owner of the phony fifty using store surveillance footage, and charged the 47-year-old man accordingly.
