As Postal Stoppage Looms, Most Canadians Prepared

Postal Workers Set To Strike By Midnight

A postal strike could be mere hours away now, but it’s not like you’d notice. The Consumer Association of Canada is saying that most Canadians will be unaffected by a postal stoppage, as they say since the threat of a strike has been looming for months now, many average Canadians have already found alternatives to snail mail. Meanwhile, both sides said to be at the bargaining table still this weekend, trying to come up with a way to make both sides satisfied. The Canadian Union of Postal Workers says job action would initially involve only some of its 50,000 members refusing overtime.
