Arcade Fire’s Latest Marketing Stunt Is A List Of Outrageous Demands For ‘The Late Show’

"What A Bunch Of Tools"

Oh Arcade Fire, this marketing campaign is ready for bed. In the latest chapter of the promotional run for Everything Now, Arcade Fire’s list of ridiculous demands ahead of their Thursday The Late Show has surfaced.

The list was posted on Twitter by the official @colbertlateshow account with the caption “What a bunch of tools…” Yes, it appears Stephen Colbert and Co. are in on the gag, which includes demands for Arcade Fire to have access to every dressing room on the floor, Colbert to have an energy drink can on his desk, and one package of vegan hot dogs.

The “PLEASE KEEP THIS AND ALL REQUESTS PRIVATE” bit was a nice touch.

Arcade Fire posted their own mock review of Everything Now ahead of its release, and later fake news’d themselves by issuing an email asking fans attending the Brooklyn release show to meet a dress code.

Everything Now dropped last Friday to decidedly mixed reviews. For those who’ve enjoyed the silly marketing campaign leading up to its release, it appears it’s not quite run its course yet.
