A last round of office Christmas parties this weekend, so we offer this reminder to be on your best behaviour. Barrie Chamber of Commerce chief Rod Jackson, who one time worked in human resources, says he’s had to help straighten out a few party-related issues in his time. In one case, where the boss sprung for hotel rooms so no one would have to drive, rooms were trashed and toilets smashed. Jackson reminds employees that even though it’s an office party, you’re still technically ‘at work’ and anything untoward that happens could be grounds for dismissal.
