Another Icy Rescue In The Region
Conditions unpredictable
A recent refresher in ice water rescue came in handy yesterday for Gerogina Firefighters Wednesday. They were called to Lake Simcoe, just off Snake Island,where a man in his 70s had fallen through the ice. He was treated on shore by paramedics. Emergency services remind everyone that fluctuating temperatures have not allowed ice in many areas to get thick enough to be on – for any reason.
