UPDATE: Arrested Made In Alleged Purse Snatching

Wednesday – Barrie Police say they have arrested a suspect in a purse snatching last week at a Tim Hortons on Essa Road. A 25 year old Barrie woman was arrested Tuesday after a picture was released to the media. She’s been charged with Theft and Fraud under $5000.

Tuesday – Barrie Police looking into what appears to be a crime of opportunity. A woman left her wallet on the table of an Essa Rd. Tim Horton’s on Friday, but returned to discover it was gone. Several transactions on her Visa card had already taken place, and one of those transactions was caught on camera. The suspect is described as:

  • Female
  • Asian
  • Early 20’s
  • Black hair
  • glasses
  • Wearing a blue sweater and a long green jacket with fur around the hood.
