Alcohol Said To Be Involved In Midland Crash

Report Of Erratic Driving Came In Just Before Collision

Two calls, one after another to Midland Police, have ended with the arrest of a Barrie man. Midland Police Service say they got a call about a possible impaired driver along King St. on Sunday. Moments later, another call came in, reporting a single vehicle crash at King and Highway 12. Turns out, it was the same driver, according to police, who say they could smell booze on the driver’s breath when they arrived on scene. The 26-year-old man was taken to hospital for treatment, then to the clink, where he was given a court date next week.
