The folks that run your debit card, Interac, say about a billion dollars will be spent on 19 million purchases today, making it the busiest shopping day of the year. It’s not just gift shopping either; lots of folks are planning on getting some of those groceries for the big Christmas feast, not to mention money spent at the liquor store.
