A Sex Doll Brothel Is Opening In Toronto Next Month
Some Area Residents Are Not Happy
Aura Dolls is set to open a unique business in Toronto: A sex doll brothel. The company has been advertising a grand opening for September 8, when they will offer prospective customers the opportunity to spend time with lifelike all-female model sex dolls.
It should come as no surprise that some residents living near the planned Yonge and Sheppard-area business are not happy about a sex doll brothel opening up.
“To me, that type of business doesn’t belong here,” area resident Carla Amodio told CityNews. “We walk by there, bike by there, and there are several elementary schools too.”
The dolls are available for uh… a variety of different activities. They’re reportedly heavily sanitized in-between uses. It will cost $80 for 1/2 hour with one doll or $120 for one hour, and you can double that for time with two dolls. According to Aura Dolls’ official website, you can spend up to four hours with dolls.

An Aura Dolls spokesperson told CityNews that there will be minimal interaction between customers and staff, if you’re wondering about privacy at the ol’ sex doll brothel.
“They put their payment down on the counter and they go straight to their room,” marketing director Claire Lee said. “They’ll probably not bump into a single person.
“We don’t have staff there, just a camera. The payment is taken at the beginning, you go into the room, do your time and just leave.”
The company has said it is looking to add male dolls in the future.
