BIG SUGAR’s 30th Anniversary “HEMI-VISION” tour: celebrating 3 decades of the album that introduced “Diggin A Hole”, “If I Had My Way” and “Gone for Good” to radio and Much Music fans across Canada. Big Sugar was an iron man test of musical endurance set against a backdrop of personal turmoil and creative pressure in the 1990s. The cultural experiment of Detroit blues meets Detroit Rock City meets Kingston Ghetto recipe became a force that burned like a vacant inner-city house fire. The unlikely success of the Roots Rock Reggae crew in Hugo Boss suits during the height of “grunge” bought the creative freedom to drive on. And drive on they have. That musical spontaneous combustion continues within every live show. Powered now with passion, laughter and comradery. Big Sugar’s throbbing bass lines, arena rock drums and signature guitar tones bring the songs on “Hemi-Vision” to life reminding us how deeply satisfying a great rock show can be!

Gordie Johnson’s power trio featuring bassist Anders Drerup and drummer Root Valach have forged their musical bond during the wildly successful 500 POUNDS tour. Weaving blues and reggae through the wall of guitars and adding vocal harmonies that invoke Jamaica, Motown or an East Coast kitchen party, Big Sugar endures. The 30th Anniversary Hemi-Vision Tour is a 2 set performance that sees the entire album performed live for the first time ever followed with a second set of favorites and rarities from the extensive Big Sugar catalogue.

Trans-Canada Highwaymen

The Trans-Canada Highwaymen (TCH) is a super group (your words - not mine) consisting of Moe Berg (TPOH), Chris Murphy (Sloan), Craig Northey (Odds) and Steven Page (Ex-BNL). Four guys who have known each other for (ahem) decades now all of whom have written songs that have contributed to Canadian culture.

They started playing shows together as TCH in 2017. At the shows, each take turns singing their own hit songs and whoever is not singing lead becomes the backing band for whoever is singing. With all four bringing their A material, it’s a set list full of bangers.

Everyone who has seen the show has been knocked out. Audiences get the opportunity to hear a setlist full of Can-Rock Classics and it also gives Moe, Chris, Craig and Steven a opportunity to hang out together, laugh their heads off and put that energy into the TCH live shows.

In keeping with their credo, “Play the hits!”, TCH have recorded an album of Canadian classics from 1969-1975 called The Trans-Canada Highwaymen

Don’t worry, you’ll still hear Moe sing "I’m An Adult Now", "Hard to Laugh" and "She's So Young". You’ll still hear Chris sing “Underwhelmed", "The Other Man" and "The Rest of My Life". You’ll still hear Craig sing "It Falls Apart", "Someone Who's Cool" and "Make You Mad". You’ll still hear Steven sing "The Old Apartment", "Brian Wilson" and “Jane".

The Wild High

The Wild High is a Hamilton, Ontario–based Canadian rock band formed around Jon Harvey, best known as the former frontman and songwriter of Monster Truck.

Harvey moved forward after his departure from Monster Truck by assembling a new group focused on a different musical direction: southern rock, roots rock, Americana, country-rock and classic rock ‘n’ roll rather than Monster Truck’s heavier hard-rock sound. One profile describes the band as a “good-time band” built around roots rock, country and traditional rock ‘n’ roll.

The current lineup is:

Jon Harvey — lead vocals, guitar (Formerly of M0nster Truck)

Myke Penney — vocals, guitar

Peter (Pete) Antoniou — vocals, banjo, guitar

Ryan Ethier — bass

Zander Lamothe — drums/percussion

The band’s debut album credits confirm this lineup, with additional contributions from Bernadette Connors, Gray Farrow on organ/electric piano and Aaron Goldstein on pedal steel.
