2017 Grammy Nominations Announced

Beyonce Leads The Way With 9 Nominations

The 2017 Grammy Nominations are out, and Beyonce leads the way with 9 nominations. She even scored a nom in the Best Rock Performance category, for her collaboration with Jack White Don’t Hurt Yourself.

In the Album of the Year category, Beyoncé’s Lemonade, will face off against Adele’s 25, Drake’s Views, Justin Bieber’s Purpose and Sturgill Simpson’s A Sailor’s Guide to Earth.

David Bowie’s Blackstar scored the late icon four nominations, for Best Rock Song, Best Rock Performance and Best Alternative Music Album. Blackstar is nominated alongside Radiohead’s A Moon Shaped Pool, Bon Iver’s 22, A Million, Iggy Pop’s Post Pop Depression and P.J. Harvey’s The Hope Six Demolition Project in that category.

Other notable nominations include Bob Dylan’s Fallen Angels in the Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album and Jack White’s “City Lights” up for Best American Roots Song.

The 59th Annual Grammy Awards take place on February 12th in L.A. and will be hosted by James Corden
