UPDATE: Another Arrest And A New Suspect In Edgehill Shooting In Barrie

June 11

A third person has been arrested in a shooting a week ago outside 90 Edgehill Drive in Barrie. 

And police have issued a warrant for another suspect on a charge of Attempted Murder. They are urging twenty-one 21-year-old Jesse Breese of Barrie urged to seek legal advice and turn himself in.

A 42-year-old Aurora man was injured in the shooting. He’s facing charegs as well.

June 7

One of three suspects is in custody following a manhunt in Bradford. The Barrie Police Service were told a suspect vehicle was spotted at an address in Bradford. Police moved in to search for a suspect who allegedly fled on foot, only to break into a local home to evade pursuing officers. This manhunt lead to three area schools being put into a Hold and Secure state throughout much of the afternoon, as a precautionary measure. Two other suspects are outstanding.

June 4

Barrie Police are seeking three suspects (see banner image) and witnesses after a shooting late Sunday afternoon outside an apartment building on Edgehill Drive.

The call came around 4:30; all concerned, including the victim, had fled by the time officers arrived.

Police then got a call from hospital staff around 6:45 after a 42-year-old Aurora man turned up with gunshot wounds. His injuries are not considered life-threatening. Police have charged him with Weapons Dangerous, Assault with a Weapon and Point a Firearm.
