Tragically Hip’s Kingston Concert to be Commemorated in Stone

Tragically Hip fans are being asked to vote on one of two sets of Hip lyrics that will be engraved onto a commemorative stone that will be placed at Springer Market Square, the site where 25,000 fans gathered outside for the band’s historic performance in their hometown of Kingston Ontario on August 20th at the end of their Man Machine Poem Tour.

The two sets of lyrics that have been selected by Kingston City officials, and also approved by the band for people to vote on for which lyric which should be included with the inscription are:

“We danced the sidewalk clean…”

“…everybody was in it from miles around …”

Along with the lyrics selected will the words, The Tragically Hip, a National Celebration, August 20th, 2016.  The voting is open until October 12th.
