There are So Many Bar Fights in Boston, the City is Considering Banning Glassware

“It’s concerning to the board that all these assaults are happening with glasses."

Drinking a $15 cocktail from a red solo cup might become a reality at Boston bars. There are so many bar fights involving glassware that the city’s Liquor Licensing Board is considering glassware at establishments where patrons have suffered glassware related injuries.

From the Boston Herald:

“It’s concerning to the board that all these assaults are happening with glasses. It’s something the board is going to discuss and perhaps put a plan in place in the near future,” Puglini said. “The board’s not going to tolerate it — if this is happening, the board won’t allow glasses.”
