The Arkells Are Headed To South Korea…All Thanks To A Tweet
They Asked, And So They Received!
Never underestimate the power of the internet.
Last week, after seeing a video of Canadian athletes celebrating to their song Knocking At The Door, The Arkells tweeted that they needed to get to Korea to play it live for them. Max Kerman tagged Team Canada and Air Canada in the post and that’s when things got wild.
I think we can make that happen. 🇨🇦✈🇰🇷🎶 What do you think? Bonne idée?!! @TeamCanada

Knocking At The Door was originally written in support of the Women’s March, but has become something of a sports anthem since it’s release. The Blue Jays and Leafs have both used it and it was even featured on the Super Bowl.
The Arkells will arrive in South Korea on Wednesday. The schedule for when they are in Pyeongchang is still being ironed out, but one gold medalist is already excited for their arrival.
YESSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 🎉🎉🎉 This is beyond exciting. Arkells have been the soundtrack to my Olympic experience thus far …. it will be such a thrill to see them live. Thank you, @AirCanada !
