Sleepy Driver Charged Following North-end Barrie Crash
Passenger Suffers Minor Injury
A crash in Barrie this morning, being blamed on a sleepy driver. Barrie Police say an SUV was heading along Georgian Drive around 7:00 this morning, when it left the roadway, went down an embankment, and struck several unoccupied vehicles outside a home. The passenger of the SUV was taken to hospital with minor injuries, while the 21-year-old driver from Richmond Hill has been charged with Careless Driver, after police say he fell asleep at the wheel.
