Sixteen Controlled Explosions A Day At CFB Borden
Daily Detonations As Part of Training Program on Base
Neighbours to CFB Borden are used to some unusual sounds through the day, but the base is warning they may get especially loud for a few weeks, starting today. Base Borden is conducting controlled detonations training weekdays from 9am to 3:30pm, until July 5th, saying around 16 controlled explosions could happen per day. Base staff stress there is no risk to the public with these explosives.
