Salvation Army Kettle Campaign Exceeds Expectations

Second only to Ottawa

Numbers are in from the Salvation Army Christmas Kettle Drive. Just shy of $511,000 were dollars raised in the Barrie-area, surpassing the goal of $490,000. Four-hundred local volunteers manned 23 kettles in the region. The amount collected in Barrie was second only to Ottawa in funds collected in Ontario. Across the country more than $23.5 million dollars were raised for Salvation Army programs.
