Rental Allegedly Used To Run Drugs Through Barrie

Driver Didn't Get Far Once The Dogs Got The Scent

Cops say their suspect was driving a rental to transport some cocaine, and may have gotten away with it if he didn’t blow through a few red lights in Barrie’s west end. Police say they watched as the car drove through a few reds in the Dunlop and Anne St. area, but the vehicle took off when police tried to pull it over. A short time later, a call came in about an abandoned vehicle, the same one police were chasing. The K9 unit sniffed out the suspect nearby, now the 31-year-old man is looking at a long list of charges.
