UPDATE: Second Barrie Shooting Suspect Taken Into Custody

Three Men Charged

AUGUST 28

Barrie Police have arrested the second suspect in a shooting August 13 near Mulcaster and Lakeshore. The 21-year-old has been charged with Attempted Murder as well as drug and weapons offences.

AUGUST 23

Officials confirm that a Canada wide warrant has been authorized for the arrest of 21-year-old Max Cameron Pritchett, who is wanted in connection to a targeted shooting that happened on August 13th.

AUGUST 22

One of the suspects in the shooting two weekends ago near Lakeshore and Mulcaster in Barrie has been arrested in London. The second suspect, 21-year-old Max Pritchett of Barrie remains at large. His dad, a 43-year-old Barrie man, has been arrested and charged with being Accessory After The Fact. He’s also facing drug and weapons-related charges. A 28-year-old Barrie man suffered serious injuries early the morning of August 13th.

 

AUGUST 18

An arrest warrant has been issued for a second suspect in a shooting August 13 at Mulscaster and Lakeshore in Barrie. Twenty-four-year-old Dylan Brown is described as:

  • Male, white (24 yrs.)
  • 5’11”, 160 lbs.
  • Brown hair and brown eyes
  • Tattoo on right hand and lower forearm of a star and diamond
  • he should be considered armed and dangerous. If seen, he is not to be approached and police should be contacted immediately by calling 9-1-1

AUGUST 17

Police have issued an arrest warrant for one man and are seeking the identity of a second in connection with a Sunday morning shooting in downtown Barrie. A 28 year old Barrie man suffered serious injuries in what police believe was a targetted shooting near Mulcaster Street and Lakeshore Drive. Investigators are seeking the public’s assistance in locating 21 year old Max Cameron Pritchett of Barrie. He’s described as:

  • white
  • 5’8”, 142 lbs
  • medium build
  • brown hair and blue eyes
  • he should be considered armed and dangerous. If seen, he is not to be approached and police should be contacted immediately by calling 9-1-1

Warrant of Arrest Issued for Attempted Murder

AUGUST 13

Barrie Police have seized a vehicle from a Toronto Street address in connection with a shooting early Sunday morning near Lakeshore Drive and Mulcaster Street. Officers responded to reports of shot fired around 1:30am. They found a 28 year old Barrie man with serious injuries. It’s believed to have been a targetted shooting. Investigators are asking any witnesses who may have been in the area at the time of the incident who have not spoken to police, or anyone who may have been in the area to contact the Barrie Police Homicide Unit at 705-725-7025 ext. 2160 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS(8477).
