Obama Takes Centre Stage At Democratic Convention

Urged voters to transfer their trust to Hillary Clinton

Emotions got the better of U.S. President Obama last night at the Democratic convention. His eyes welled up as he spoke of his faith in the American people, urging voters to transfer their trust to Hillary Clinton. He said America is full of courage, optimism and ingenuity, and asked the crowd to join him to reject cynicism and fear, and to summon “what’s best in us.” Former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg attacked Donald Trump’s record saying, “I’m a New Yorker and I know a con when I see one.” He went on to say he understood “the appeal of a businessman president” but that Trump is “a risky, reckless, radical choice.”
