Mounted Police Cuff Keswick Man Over Opium Allegations
Suspect Accused of Importing About 10kg of Drugs Through Montreal
The Mounties have charged a Keswick man with importing opium, after Border Services intercepted three packages containing about 10kg of the drug destined for a Keswick home. The packages were snagged in Montreal back on July 16th, and handed over to the RCMP, who made sure the packages reached their destination… along with an arrest warrant once the suspect accepted them. The 50-year-old suspect was expected in Newmarket court to answer to eight drug importing related charges.
