Live Reunite With Lead Singer Ed Kowalczyk

Original Lineup Back Together After Eight Years

The rumour that 90’s rock fans were praying was true has been confirmed. Veteran rockers Live announced that they have reunited with original lead singer Ed Kowalczyk, after years of legal battles.

Kowalczyk left Live in 2009 in order to pursue a solo career. The remaining band members filed a pair of lawsuits alleging breach-of-contract and copyright infringement. In 2012, Live restarted the band, recruiting Chris Shinn as frontman.

Guitarist Chad Taylor explained the decision to reunite by saying, “Ed, Chad, Patrick and I are no different than your average family. We might divide ourselves or argue fiercely but thankfully time, and the grand gesture of forgiveness, helps to heal old wounds. We’ve worked hard to restore the tenants of faith and trust that bonded us in the beginning.”

Live will tour in 2017, “headlining shows and key festival appearances,” according to a press release. Dates and locations are still to be announced.
