Liberation Of Mosul From ISIS Underway
A "decisive moment" in the battle to defeat ISIS
It is the largest military operation in Iraq since American troops withdrew from the country in 2011. Now they are back, launching airstrikes to compliment an Iraqi ground attack against ISIS in a bid to recapture Mosul – an ISIS stronghold since 2014. U.S. Defence Secretary Ash Carter calls the operation a “decisive moment” in the battle to defeat ISIS.
