Driver Reminder: Don’t Pass School Buses With Lights Flashing

OPP Say A Few Incidences Reported Lately, Especially Wyevale

This has to stop: Southern Georgian Bay OPP says there have been several incidents since the start of the school year of vehicles passing school buses that are stopped with their lights flashing. Mostly on Highway 93 near Wyebridge according to Provincial Police. Unless it’s a divided highway, traffic in both directions is supposed to stop to allow school children to get on and off the buses safely. The penalty for not stopping can be as much as $2,000 and six demerit points for a first offense.
