Aftermath Of The Storm

Environment Canada says a tornado touched down near Stayner around 4:00 yesterday afternoon. EF scale yet to be determined. Power remains out in many areas around the region after yesterday’s storms. Pockets in Innisfil should be back on by 9am says InnPower. In the Collingwood, Blue Mountains and Thornbury areas it could be late this afternoon or tonight. The Collingwood-area appears to have been hit hardest by yesterday’s storm. The roof came off Mr Transmission in Collingwood, a trailer was flipped on its roof in the Stayner-area. At Wasaga Beach, lightning sturck a home causing a gas line on the side of the house to ignite. There are no reports of serious injuries as a result of the storm activity.
