A Woman is Suing her Parents for Something Most Parents Do

An 18-year-old Austrian woman is suing her parents for posting over 500 embarrassing pictures of her on Facebook without her permission.
“They knew no shame and no limit – and didn’t care whether it was a picture of me sitting on the toilet or lying naked in my cot – every stage was photographed and then made public.”
She’s apparently asked her parents to take the pictures down but her father refused because he believes since he’s the one who took the photos, he has every right to post them.
The trial is set for November and would be the first case of it’s kind in Austria. In both France and Germany, it’s possible for kids to sue their parents for sharing pictures of them online without their permission.
