Road to the Cure rocks Innisfil

Congrats to the organizers of the Road to the Cure benefit Concert held yesterday at Sunset Speedway in Innisfil.  I really had to wonder how a concert would play out at a stock car track, but really the venue was well put together and organized.  Outside of the time lines running a bit behind scheduled performances, the show came off very well.

The stage was set up just inside the track facing the Grandstand.  Outside the entrance there were tons of vendors and amazing classic cars on display for people to check out.  Inside, tons of room in front of the stage if you wanted to get close to the bands, or if you wanted to kick back and relax in the sun, the Grandstand seats didn't have a bad sightline anywhere along the track's backstretch.

The beer garden was one of the most popular places throughout the show (go figure), as it was packed with people enjoying a bevy or two and still being able to hear the bands performances.

Not sure how much was raised for expansion at Royal Victoria Hospital and the new Simcoe/Muskoka Cancer Care Unit, but the organizers and volunteers did a bang up job with putting the show and the venue together.  Let's hope there will be a repeat performance next year!
