Bobby Orr Hall Of Fame

If you have a hockey fan in your midst, then you must make the trip to Parry Sound (Bobby Orr’s hometown) to visit the Bobby Orr Hall of Fame. There’s an amazing collection of memorabilia that was largely donated by the community, a trophy room, and some super-cool interactive exhibits. Plus, it’s located inside the Stockey Centre which is right on the shore of Georgian Bay. Hockey + amazing views = awesome!

Penetang Centennial Museum & Archives

If you’re a history buff, then this is the place for you. Did you know Penetanguishene is one of Canada’s oldest communities? No? Then clearly a visit to the museum is needed! They also have all sorts of seasonal activities and events.

Huronia Museum

The Huronia Museum in Midland is a really cool place. It features a replica of a “pre-contact” Huron/Ouendat village, including a lookout tower, wigwam, and a full-size longhouse. They also have an exhibit gallery with thousands of historic artifacts ranging from photographs, native archaeology, and art by members of the Group of Seven. You could fill several rainy days here!
